Sister Dorothy Donovan
Born in Bayonne, New Jersey, Sister Dorothy Donovan was born the 10th child in a family of 11 children. She entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph in Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia in 1955. She made her final profession in 1963.
During her time in community, she taught in elementary and high schools in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Sister Dorothy “switched” ministry to parish/religious education in 1988, the community provided her with the educational background that prepared her for each of these areas.
Sister Dorothy holds a B.S. in education, a M.S. in secondary education and a M.A. in Pastoral Ministry/Religious Education.
